More STR stats from Ireland
On the heels of yesterday’s report showing nearly half of rentals in Dublin are now short-term, here are some more stats from Ireland showing the problem is worse in other parts of the country.
The high proportion of short-term to long-term rentals shows – as high as 14 times bigger – shows these communities are feeling the same strains as many coastal towns in Australia. More “entire home” short-term rentals mean fewer properties to rent, higher rental prices, higher property prices and a hollowing out of the communities as tourists replace locals.
